Holidays

11/30/2017

Holidays are here! We've had some fun things happening lately and will continue until the end of 2017! However, I have some updating to do... before Thanksgiving break the Target program invited our class to come and play their arcade games that they made out of cardboard, etc. All of my students had a blast and each received prizes from each game so you may have seen a ziplock bag full of treats and small toys - that was from the target program!

We had a great time learning about Thanksgiving and celebrating via activity centers including making snack cornucopias, playing turkey bowling, shucking corn, and acting out the first thanksgiving! See pictures!

Now we have begun December and are learning about different holidays around the world! Starting last Friday we will be learning about a different country each day! On the 14th & 15th we will be participating in various holidays around the world activities with kindergarten classes  - will be rotating between classes learning about different countries.

Here are upcoming dates so you are aware of what all our class is doing:
Dec 1-15: holidays around the world
Dec 11-15: assessments for end of quarter, report cards, & progress reports
Dec 18th: Grinch day - wear green and a fun hair style from the movie & STEM day
Dec 19th (early release day): holiday centers (we'll be making gingerbread houses, playing bingo, cooking, etc. more details to come!)
Dec 20th (early release day): Polar Express Day - we'll be wearing pajamas, sharing cookies and having hot cocoa, and watching the movie

Looking forward to the next few weeks of fun learning!!!
